Not everybody will actually do it, of course. But if you're one of those who follows through, you'll find it's the best opportunity to reinvent yourself outside of the witness protection program. You get to hit the reset button on your life. And that goes double for your social life.
But it can seem daunting. 1) How do figure out the logistics? 2) When do you make the leap? 3) Can you get reliable health care? 4) How hard is it to learn the language? 5) What about making friends?

My checklist will help you get started. 2) After you've done your research, planning, and paperwork. 3) Many countries offer care that far exceeds the quality standards of America. Yes, you read that right. 5) In the expat community, everyone is busy rebuilding their social life from scratch; newcomers are welcomed with open arms.
